Have Darlington left it too late for a play-off push

Darlington seem to be hitting form at just the right time and after last weekend's 6-0 drubbing of bottom of the league North Ferriby United everything is rosy at Blackwell Meadows.

Just one defeat in 10 and unbeaten in four has seen any threat of relegation pushed to one side and talk of a late season play-off push is growing.

Darlo currently sit in 11th place on 46 points and are just five points behind 7th placed Spennymoor Town, although Spennymoor do have five games in hand.

However with the current form Darlington are in if the teams around them do drop points it seems feasible that Darlington could easily sneak into that 7th spot.

On Thursday night a few of the team at the North Stand made the short journey across to Darlington to have a chat with Phil Turnbull Stephen Thompson and Reece Styche about there current form and if they think they can sneak into the playoffs come May.
