Bournemouth vs Newcastle United Preview
The Magpies were in dreamland last week as they defeated 2nd placed Manchester United at St James Park thanks to a Matt Ritchie strike.
They will be hoping this momentum continues into their crucial away fixture against Bournemouth this Saturday to boost their chances of Premier League survival.
Both clubs are close to the relegation zone despite Bournemouth sitting 10th and Newcastle stuck in 13th.
The Cherries are six points ahead of Newcastle who themselves are only two points above relegation.
Bournemouth could have improved their odds of staying up in their last league game when they faced fellow relegation-strugglers Huddersfield, but the Terriers proved too strong and dominated in a 4-1 victory.
Newcastle are without any news injuries or suspension whilst Bournemouth are still without Jermaine Defoe and Tyrone Mings.
Despite losing last week Bournemouth have been in fine form, picking up 10 points from a possible 15 – including a 3-0 away win at Chelsea.
Newcastle have only picked up six points from 15 available points recently, but have only lost once so this might be a tough fixture for the both of them.
