Hartlepool United confirm crowd funding will keep club going through February
Hartlepool United have assured representatives that donations received by supporters will be used to meet financial commitments within the club.
This announcement comes following a meeting between club Chairman Pam Duxbury, solicitor Andrew Cawkwell and Hartlepool fan Rachel Cartwright who agreed measures to release the funds.
Hartlepool announced a statement on their website:
“As a result of those assurances, the Club is pleased to confirm that we have reached agreement over a process that would enable the funds to be released for us to continue to trade and fulfil fixtures.”
The statement published on Pools site means the National League outfit will be able to continue to run and fulfil February’s home fixtures.
The Pools have two remaining home fixtures this month starting with Woking at home on Saturday before ending the month at home to Ebbsfleet United on Saturday February 24th, both fixtures being 3pm kick offs.
Earlier this month Hartlepool fans set up a crowdfunding page to support the Pools while financial issues carry on off the field as Craig Harrison’s side look to find investment to meet monthly costs of around £150,000.
An official police investigation is also ongoing as they look into alleged financial irregularities at Victoria Park, however the club announced last week that no members of staff at the club are under investigation.
