Bristol City vs Sunderland Preview
Sunderland travel to high-flying Bristol City this weekend, in a match that the Black Cats are desperate to pick up a result but many footballing fans will have already ruled them out of causing an upset.
Sunderland are coming into the match having lost their last two matches, against Birmingham and Ipswich, they are currently four points off safety but with Bolton having a game in hand on all the teams below them, it looks like Sunderland will remain in the drop zone for the coming weeks.
Bristol on the other hand are having a fantastic season and currently sit in 6th in the final play-off spot, three points clear of 7th place Preston North End.
The Robins suffered a huge 1-0 defeat at the hands of relegation battling Bolton last weekend, so will be desperate to get three points this weekend and look to continue their strong push for the play-offs as we enter the final third of the season.
Sadly, Sunderland will be mourning the passing away of former midfielder Liam Miller, the former Celtic, Manchester United and Republic of Ireland midfielder sadly passed away this week at the age of 36 from pancreatic cancer.
So in a game to remember a former fan favourite can Sunderland cause an upset and take all three points on their visit to Ashton Gate, I sadly can't see it happening, at best the Black Cats should hope for a point this weekend.
So ahead of todays match I am going to predict a 2-0 win for Bristol City.
