Barrow vs Hartlepool United Preview

The Pools face what could be a vital fixture this Saturday as they travel to Holker Street to face a Barrow side who, much like Hartlepool, haven’t won in their last five games.

Hartlepool however haven’t managed a league win in their last 11 games, so will be desperate for three points to steer clear of the relegation zone.

The winless run see's Hartlepool sitting in 18th, just four points above the relegation zone and with Barrow three points behind the Pools with a game in hand, this weekend's clash is a crucial six-pointer.

If Hartlepool aren't able to pick up anything on their travels this weekend, and if results go against them the Pools will slip further down the table in what is going to be one of the worst season's in the clubs history.

The first time these two sides met back in October saw Hartlepool pick up a dramatic 1-0 at Victoria Park thanks to a stoppage time winner from star-man Michael Woods.

Hartlepool will be without defender Carl Magnay as he picked up 2 yellow cards in their last match against Eastleigh in which the Pools lost narrowly 4-3.

Both sides are struggling at the moment and I can’t see either breaking that no-win streak.

Match Prediction: Barrow 1-1 Hartlepool
