Sunderland vs Ipswich Town Preview

Sunderland are looking to bounce back from their midweek 3-1 defeat at Birmingham as they welcome Ipswich Town to the Stadium of Light.
Sunderland manager Chris Coleman has described deadline day as “brutal” but said he is still happy with the Black Cats deadline day signings.
Sunderland brought in experienced goalkeeper Lee Camp from Cardiff and then forward Ashley Fletcher on loan from North East neighbours Middlesbrough and attacking midfielder Ovie Ejaria on loan from Liverpool.
One player who won’t be available is midfielder Didier N’Dong who made a deadline day move to Watford.
Meanwhile Ipswich will be able to call on the services of newly acquired winger Mustapha Carayol after he was signed by the Tractor Boys after his release by Nottingham Forrest.
Ipswich also have deadline day signing Barry Cotter available after he was brought in from Limerick

Both teams come into this game in distinctly average form. Sunderland have won two of their last six games, whereas Ipswich have won just one of their last six games.
Both teams are out of the FA cup so survival would be the priority.
I’d be surprised to see a game similar to the reverse fixture where Ipswich ran out 5-2 winners at Portman Road.
I expect this to be a tight cagey affair between two sides who are both struggling for form.
However I can see one of Sunderland’s new young signing proving the difference maker in a close match.
Luke's Prediction: Sunderland 1-0 Ipswich Town
